30 Day Relationship Challenge...With Myself: Day 5

Wednesday, August 24, 2016

Okay, so today's challenge made me giggle a lot.

I struggle with accepting compliments so I thought this one was going to be rough. When someone mentions anything directly relating to my personality or appearance, I immediately deflect it.  I don't feel I deserve the compliment.

Today's Challenge: Leave a sweet, sexy, or romantic note somewhere they will find it.

30 Day Relationship Challenge...with Myself: Day 3

Music.  Music is my soul (how cliché).  As previously noted, I have the extremely useless talent of being able to recall lyrics to the most obscure songs or ones I've only heard a few times.  When I find a song that I really love, I listen to it over and over and over for days.  I can see a story unfolding in the song.

Maybe it's because I'm an English major, but I'm a nut for lyrics.  The words in a song and the pictures they paint is what I enjoy.  With the exception of House/Techno music, I can listen to any genre as long as the song makes me feel something.

Does It Work?: FlipBelt Review

Thursday, August 18, 2016

The FlipBelt haunted my Pinterest feed.  Ads showing in-shape men and women running, lifting, and generally posing promised the newest necessary athletic accessory had arrived.  I was skeptical.  It seemed many of the reviews were by people who received the product for free from FlipBelt in exchange for a review.  I don't know much about the review game, but I wasn't 100% sold.

30 Day Relationship Challenge...with Myself: Day 2

Wednesday, August 17, 2016

This one was definitely not easy.  I've always been able to list what's wrong with me and for a while I truly thought that was a good quality.  The ability to evaluate what you're doing wrong and figuring out to how to correct them was, I convinced myself, a highly developed introspection tool.  Not so much.

30 Day Relationship Challenge...With Myself: Day 1

Monday, August 15, 2016

As I previously wrote, I struggle with Self-Love.  Lately, my focus on studying for the GRE's and moving into my apartment lead to a loss in connecting in my alone time.  I take it harder when I don't do stellar on a practice test and it affects the way I study.  I have no confidence.

So even though I'm right in the middle of classes starting and the GRE, I knew it was time to jump into this Relationship Challenge I spotted on Pinterest a few months ago.  I have no problem making time for friends, family, and my boyfriend, but it's usually at the expense of some valuable me time.

9 Times Ted From How I Met Your Mother Reminded You to Hold Out For The One

Wednesday, August 3, 2016

Ahh, Ted Mosby.  You lovely sap.  Your constant search for the one left us with a lot of laughs, Slapsgiving, and an incredible desire to find our one true SO and tell them a ridiculously rambling story to our children about how we met.  Below are a list of times Ted reminded us love is out there and it's worth fighting for.

When he defined why we keep pushing on.
